Shaker Style End Tables

Our client wanted a set of end tables that were traditional, but unique. After a few drafts and some research, we decided to go with a shaker style because collectively we like the tapered-leg style that is a staple of shaker style furniture. To make them even more unique, we decided to use Ambrosia Maple to build them. Ambrosia Maple features random patterns of gray streaks created by the channels of burrowing Ambrosia Beetles. They’re approximately 28.5” tall with 15” square tops made from a continuous panel so that the grain flows from one to the other.

We decided on a subtle taper to modernize the design a bit and a set of contrasting drawer fronts to make the set really pop. We surprised the client with custom drawer pulls made from Walnut with an African Padauk inlay. We made them triangles to reflect and enhance the angles of the tapered legs.

The client liked them so much, they gave us permission to sell them to other people! Order yours in our shop.
